Note: Attempt any five questions in all selecting one question from each section. All questions carry equal marks.

Section-A

1. (a) List the operating characteristics for the following displays technologies: raster refresh systems, vector refresh systems.

(b) What do you mean by SRGP?

2. Explain the following:

  1. Hard copy technologies
  2. Input devices
  3. Output devices
  4. Display processor

Section-B

3. Write and explain Bresenham’s line drawing algorithm for |m|<1. Also illustrate the algorithm for line with end points (20, 10) and (30, 18).

4. (a) Explain mid-point ellipse drawing algorithm.

(b) Explain antialising.

Section-C

5. Show that the composition of two rotation is additive by concatenating the matrix representations for and  to obtain:

6. How can one transform window-to-viewport co-ordinate? Explain, also write sequence of transformations.

Section-D

7. Explain the following 3-D translations:

8. Explain the following:

  1. Planer Geometric Projection
  2. Arbitrary 3D view

9. Classify visible-surface detection algorithm, also explain one method for detecting visible surfaces.

10. Write short notes on any two of the following:

  1. Hidden line and surfaces
  2. Rendering
  3. Animation
