Note: Attempt any five questions. Each question carries 6 marks.

  1. What are the common elements of a system? Explain.
  2. What is Planning? What are the various steps of initial investigation? Explain.
  3. Define structural analysis. What are the various tools of structural analysis?
  4. Differentiate between logical design and physical design. Explain one design methodology in detail.
  5. Why system testing is necessary in system design? Discuss activity network for system testing.
  6. What is feasibility report? Discuss the various characteristics of feasibility report in detail.

Section-B

Note: Attempt any five questions. Each question carries 3 marks.

  1. Explain system development life cycle.
  2. Discuss any two information gathering tools in detail.
  3. What is DFD? Explain the role of DFD in system analysis with appropriate example.
  4. Explain cost / benefit analysis.
  5. Explain any one file organization with appropriate example.
  6. What are the various levels of quality assurance? Explain in detail.

Note: Write short notes on any five of the following.

  1. Audit trail
  2. Data Processing Auditor
  3. Database design
  4. IPO charts
  5. On-site observation
  6. Data dictionary
  7. Decision tree
