2. (a) What do you mean by peripheral devices? Discuss its various characteristics.

    (b) Write down the mechanism of dot matrix printer.

    (b) Compare SRAM and DRAM.

4. (a) What do you mean by Cache Memory ? Explain its working mechanism.

    (b) Explain Cache Controller

5. Define Operating System. Explain its various types with appropriate example of each type.

6. Explain following :

    (i) Partitioning of Hard Disk

    (ii) Formatting of Hard Disk

7. (a) What do you mean by Instruction Level Parallelism?

    (b) Define Symmetric Multiprocessors?

8. Explain the Working principle of Pentium II or MIPS R10000.
